Psalm 106:11-13

11 The water of the sea drowned their enemies,
    so that none of them remained alive.[a]
12 Then God's people believed his promises.
    They sang songs to praise him.[b]

13 But they soon forgot
    what the Lord had done to help them.
They did not wait for him to tell them what to do.
